Sam ten Cate is a Managing Director and State Street Investment Management’s Head of Digital Strategy. Sam has held various roles at State Street within Investor Services product management and Global Technology Services focused on the application of generative artificial intelligence and development of digital asset products and services including custody, tokenization, transfer agency, and fund administration.
Prior to joining State Street, Sam spent a decade at Promontory Financial Group as management consultant, where he partnered with financial services executives to promote positive state and federal regulatory outcomes, specializing in FinTech, artificial intelligence, digital assets, bank chartering, and risk management. Sam has broad experience working with technology native firms, global and regional banks, non-banks, and U.S. State and Federal regulators including the Fed, OCC, SEC, CFPB, and NYDFS.
