Owen Lau
Managing Director, Clear Street
Owen Lau is a Managing Director and Senior Equity Analyst covering Financial Technology (“FinTech”) on our Equity Research team at Clear Street LLC. Prior to joining Clear Street, Owen was an Executive Director and Senior Analyst with Oppenheimer & Co., focusing leading research in FinTech and Information Services, including blockchain and exchanges. Owen also has prior experience covering Banks and Consumer Finance, and was also previously with Janney Montgomery Scott, Standard and Poor’s (S&P Global), Barclays and HSBC. Owen earned an MBA from Columbia Business School, where he was awarded the Dean’s Graduation Honors, and received a Masters degree from Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management, as well as receiving degrees from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in Computer Science. Owen holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the international honor society for business school students, and also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Columbia University School of Professional Studies.
