Derek is a seasoned blockchain expert and Technical Advisor for The Graph Foundation since September 2023. With extensive experience in the blockchain industry since 2016, he founded Data Nexus in 2022, a pioneering blockchain indexing company built on The Graph. Data Nexus specializes in hosting Subgraphs, APIs that extract, transform, and load real-time blockchain data, empowering software applications with seamless data querying capabilities.

Additionally, Derek collaborates with The Graph to develop advanced indexing tools, enabling applications and institutions to scale their data products effectively. Prior to his blockchain ventures, Derek served as a Database Administrator for a leading Energy Supplier, bringing a robust foundation in data management to his innovative work in decentralized technologies. He is excited to share his insights at Chainlink's SmartCon convention in November.
