John Neufeld
Head of Legal & Policy, OpenZeppelin
John Neufeld has led the Legal and Policy functions at OpenZeppelin for the past seven years. OpenZeppelin is a global leader in blockchain infrastructure, whose open source smart contracts have secured more than $30 trillion in value. The company also pioneered the smart contract security audit practice, helping establish the standards that underpin today’s decentralized financial systems.
In his role, John ensures that OpenZeppelin’s products and services evolve to meet the complex regulatory requirements and operational needs of institutional clients, with a particular focus on banks, asset managers, and other financial institutions adopting blockchain technology.
Before joining OpenZeppelin, John practiced corporate finance law at Skadden. He holds a JD/MBA from Queen’s University.
